The boys gave us a peep into their joint EP quite some time ago, but the final product has finally arrived. The 6-track EP features Shlohmo’s dense signature production, accompanied by Jeremih’s lush vocals, making for quite the exceptional recipe.
Terius Nash aka The-Dream aka Radio Killa had a rather busy week. On top of launching his own label Contra Paris with long-time friend and producer Tricky Stewart, he dropped the video for his latest single “Black,” he also dropped this freEP, oh and reportedly got married. Regardless of everything going on, Dream always manages to put out high quality music.
Slaughterhouse surprises their incredibly dedicated fan base with a 10-track mixtape today. The hip-hop supergroup consisting of Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz add some fresh elements to their repertoire. We all know these boys constantly bring bars to the table, that’s a given, but their choice of producers and beats gave this project a new spark. Hit the jump for the tracklist, production credits and download.
As previously stated here on AHM, we have mad love and respect for Jordan Asher, aka Boots. After his induction via Beyoncé latest self-titled effort, he didn’t waste much time dropping a solo mixtape. The 16-track project features Shlohmo, Jeremih, Son Lux, Kelela, Margot and the culprit responsible for the introduction; Beyoncé.
We have yet another talented producer out of the SOULECTION camp. Vincent Martinez aka NiceGuyxVinny has served up a fresh project today that goes by the name V I S T A. Put simply; vista means ‘a far-reaching mental view,’ which Mr. Martinez clearly grasps all too well.
As promised, De La Soul has finished with the teasing, and have dropped their latest project for free. Smell the Da.I.S.Y. is entirely produced by the late legend, J Dilla. This is truly an extraordinary gift from the boys of Long Island, NY; a gift I would gladly pay good money for. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Posdnuos called Dilla “the Tupac of producers,” and this project is a clear testament to that statement.
G.O.O.D. Music’s CyHi The Prynce has resurfaced with a brand new mixtape in hand. It’s been over a year since we’ve heard from Cydel Young, but the wait was worth it. 18 tracks (14 minus the interludes & ‘tro’s), and not a single feature required. The 29-year old from Georgia carries the weight of the tape with ease, slanging bars for days. Watch out for CyHi to make a splash in 2014.
