It’s Monday, June twenty-fifth, two thousand and twelve.

Lupe Fiasco sends out another deep message for the damsels in distress.

Purity Ring, the All-Canadian duo, has done it again with their second single. Beautifully produced with hooks that sound like they’re straight out of a 90’s R&B track and a futuristic beat.

Dom Kennedy dropped his highly anticipated Yellow Album which has been in heavy rotation.

Nas gears up for number ten, Pusha for number one, Wiz hooks up with fifty and JJ goes free.

Monday Blues & Beats Vol. 18

Kanye West did his thing last week, having every major blog around the world talking about you; check. First it was “Theraflu,” where he tweeted the artistically provocative artwork. Then, the chatter surrounding a G.O.O.D. music compilation album surfaced with a single featuring label mates. Mr. West has this innate ability to get everyone in the music industry, be it artists, Russell Simmons or bloggers; to hone in on whatever he’s up to.

Roc Nation’s Jay Electronica finally graces the music scene with a fresh new track.

Urban Noize does a fine job of remixing the West/Fiasco “Touch The Sky” single with some Florence Welch vocals.

The Swedish Dream Pop group JJ is working on their third LP and gave us a taste of it this week.

New singles from Kid Ink, Curren$y, Dragonette, T.I., Blue Foundation, Fat Joe and more.
