Monday Blues & Beats Vol. 95

VOLUME 95

Good morning or afternoon, depending on your whereabouts. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends, now it’s time for some new music. We got arguably the best track Audio Push has ever put out, some master sample work from Sango, the lead single from Common & No I.D.’s upcoming album and much more. Let’s get into it!

Audio Push – “Juveniles (feat. Logic & Jill Scott)”

HS87’s Audio Push storm into 2014 with a gem. The underrated Logic and Jill Scott on the feature and Hit-Boy on the beat with help from Rey Reel. Note: A couple LA Leakers tags

A Sunny Day In Glasgow – “In Love With Useless (The Timeless Geometry In The Tradition Of Passing)”

The shoegazers from Philly, Brooklyn and Sydney, Australia have made up for a 3+ year hiatus with this stunning arrangement of sound. If this calibre of creativity can fuel an entire project, count me in.

Sango – “BB Don’t Cry (Its Gon Be Ok)”

The chillwave extraordinaire shifts gears a little to the Hip Hop/R&B side with this instrumental. His usage of Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River” and Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” makes for a sampling masterpiece. I could really see Fabolous making good on this track.

Ace Hood – “FYFR”

The latest offering from Ace Hood is an absolute banger, and that ominous addictive beat you hear is courtesy of The Renegades. This will find a home on the Starvation 3 mixtape

NO – “Leave The Door Wide Open”

The LA indie rockers have offered up their lead single for free. El Prado is the title of their upcoming album and it’s set for February 18th via Arts & Crafts. If you’re a fan of The National, you’ll enjoy these guys.

Common – “War”

Common announced his upcoming album Nobody’s Smiling will be entirely produced by No I.D. Later that day, Sense dropped this first taste.

Chromeo – “Come Alive (Toro Y Moi)”

I don’t know if it’s the fact Chromeo has linked up with Toro Y Moi, or the ultra silky smooth funk, but this has to be one of my top jams from Canadian electro duo.

Available on

Little Simz – “Mandarin Oranges (feat. Waldo)”

The English emcee links up with a couple Soulection camp members; Waldo for a verse and Sango for the beat.

Teen Daze – “Orange”

The Canadian producer painting yet another dreamy soundscape.

King Chip – “Go ‘Head”

The man who formerly went by the name Chip Tha Ripper has stepped up his game and is taking 2014 by storm. Here’s his latest produced by Big Duke

Kaiser Chiefs – “Bows & Arrows”

The British indie rockers are coming back with 5th album titled Education, Education, Education & War, and this being the first single, it takes me back to The Clash.

Available on

Ty Dolla $ign – “Or Nah (feat. Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard)”

Ty D has he Beach House EP dropping next week under Taylor Gang Records, and here’s the second single featuring the boss on a verse and ‘Mustard on da beat.’

Bow Wow – “Like Mike”

Bow Wow comes out of hiding with a solid number produced by Young Chop.
