Monday Blues & Beats Vol. 90

JMSN - The One

Good afternoon and apologies for the tardiness on this weeks mix. Nevertheless, it’s quite the collection of songs coming at you this week. New singles from Eminem, Mogwai, JMSN, Ryan Hemsworth, Rudimental with Nas and Emeli Sandé and more.

Rudimental – Free (Remix) [feat. Nas & Emeli Sandé]

The feel-good single from Rudimental’s latest project gets an A-List remix cast featuring the legendary Nas and the unique Emeli Sandé.

Eminem – The Monster (feat. Rihanna)

Anytime these two link up for a single, it’s almost guaranteed to go platinum. Here’s the latest from Em’s Marshall Mathers LP2. Produced by FreQuency

JMSN – The One

The latest single from Christian Berishaj has me even more excited for his upcoming EP. †Pllaj놠is drops next week.

Available on

Mogwai – Remurdered

Mogwai just announced a tour and their upcoming full-length album called Rave Tapes which is out January 21 via Sub Pop Records.

Waldo – Kobe’s Room (Truth Be Told)

Soulection signee links up with his fellow label-mate Sango for smooth beat while he drops his silky flow all over it. Lean back and let it ride.

August Alsina – Numb (feat. B.o.B & Yo Gotti)

Mr. Alsina continues on the success train with a new joint featuring Bobby Ray, Yo Gotti and DJ Mustard on the beat.

Yo Gotti – Cold Blood (feat. J. Cole)

Yo Gotti has been busy lately, and with his I AM project dropping in two weeks, he lets go of the J. Cole collaboration.

Available on

Jo Def – Swim

Another one from the Soulection camp, which can essentially be known as ‘Chillwave Central.’ Jo Def plays with Sade’s “Lover’s Rock” on this one which comes from the forthcoming project Steps (November 19)

Marco Polo – Astonishing (feat. Large Professor, Inspectah Deck, O.C., Tragedy Khadafi & DJ Revolution)

The Canadian-born producer, who now lives in New York, pulls out an incredible posse cut featuring nothing but New York blood.

80AM – Crimson Marilyn

Local Vancouver producer/DJ creates something here that’s both laid back and beautifully triumphant at the same time. You can scope more of his work via Soundcloud

Kill Paris – Ghostbusters (Kill Paris Remix)

The LA producer pulls out this high-energy number just in time for Halloween.

Drake – Come Thru (James Blake Remix)

When I heard Blake and Drake were working together for NWTS, I was ecstatic, and when nothing came of it, slightly disappointed. Not sure if this was the original, but here’s James’ take on “Come Thru.”

Ryan Hemsworth – Small + Lost

If you haven’t already picked up Hemsworth’s Guilt Trips project, I suggest you check it out. Here’s the lead track from the album, and most recent single.

Available on

Childish Gambino – Worldstar

Yet another new jam from Childish. Look out for his upcoming album Because The Internet, which according to Bino is not a ‘rap album.’ Drops December 10
