Good evening and welcome to Blues & Beats Volume 89. This week, we only have 12 tracks for you, but there’s no shortage of quality in the mix. New stuff from Flume, James Vincent McMorrow, Kaytranada, Childish Gambino and more.
James Vincent McMorrow – Cavalier
JVM is back and has a brand new album coming in January called Post Tropical. Here’s the first single, and as usual it’s beautifully haunting.

Flight Facilities – Clair De Lune (Them Jeans Edit) [feat. Christine Hoberg]
Flight Facilities has gained an immense amount of popularity from this track, so they plan on releasing a remix project. Them Jeans infused the original with a little energetic hop and clap.
Flume has already garnered great success at just 21-years old, but why not re-release your debut with a deluxe edition featuring a bunch of talented artists. The self-titled album will feature Killer Mike, Eliza Doolittle, How To Dress Well, Freddie Gibbs, Ghostface Killah and more.

Montréal producer Kaytranada just dropped a 3-track EP this past week, and to say the least, it’s been heavy rotation. His blend of R&B, Hip Hop and Electro makes for a groovy sound you just can’t put down.

Bino dropped another new jam today, which currently has no home, but a track of this calibre belongs on the upcoming LP.
Jay Arner – Dont Remind Me (Teen Daze Remix)
Teen Daze takes Arner’s pop song and transforms it into something deep and melodic.
DJ Khaled – Hells Kitchen (feat. J. Cole & Bas)
Over the past week, nearly half of Khaled’s album surfaced online for promotion. So instead of giving you all those posse cuts, I give you Cole and Bas on some deep ish.
On a side note, Chris Brown is featured on one of those Khaled posse cuts I was just talking about called “I’m Still.” On the original he’s used for the hook only, but his intended verse for the track surfaced and boy does he snap on it.
Sufjan Stevens – Take Me (Demo)
Sufjan dug into his hard drive and released this dreamy number that as of now has no project to call home.
Here’s Maya’s fourth single from her upcoming album Matangi. She’s playing on Drake’s YOLO with YALA – You Always Live Again
DZA and Harry Fraud hook up for a trunk rattler
Tyga – Wait For A Minute (feat. Justin Bieber)
Tyga does his usual thing over a familiar beat, but JB’s vocals are an incredibly smooth fit.
