Monday Blues & Beats Vol. 76++

Volume 76

We’re back in business ladies and gentleman with a massive mix of music for Volume 76. One of the greatest things about stepping outside the blogosphere for five weeks is coming home to an overwhelming abundance of new music. I’m sure a lot of you will have already downloaded some of the tracks in today’s mix, but i’m going to recap the last five weeks and bundle it up in 60 songs. The write-ups will be short and sweet and today’s mix shall be in two parts (++).

Note: How about some of the albums that were released while I was away…impressive. Be sure to stay tuned this week, because with travel time, comes writing time and i’ll be throwing some album reviews your way.

After Magna Carta hit the world with great force, the full version of “DP3” surfaced.

Big Sean – Beware (feat. Jhene Aiko & Lil Wayne)

Sean follows up “Switch Up” with this joint, which will be on Hall Of Fame (August 27) – Produced by Key Wane. Available on iTunes

Stalley – Raise Your Weapons

MMG’s Stalley delivers a conscience message to the world with a Deadmau5 sample – produced by Block Beattaz

Hit-Boy – SomeWhereInAmerica (Remix) [feat. Rockie Fresh]

Hit-Boy remixes his instrumental from Magna Carta…Holy Grail and enlists Rockie Fresh to body the beat

Da$h – So Cold (feat. A$AP Nast & A$AP Ferg)

The up and coming New Jersey native enlists a couple of the A$AP Mob members for a creep-in-your-window beat from Soufien3000

Da$h – Whalé (feat. Ab-Soul & Retch)

Another standout track from his V.I.C.E.S mixtape – produced by RandomBlackDude

Jon Connor – F’N Right (feat. Freddie Gibbs)

PartyNextDoor – Over Here (feat. Drake)

This comes from the Ontario native’s debut self-titled project. The man has a nice Frankie O/Weeknd vibe going on. Check out the full tape HERE

The Brooklyn boy just dropped Summer Knights, and here’s one of the standouts featuring production from The Alchemist

Machine Gun Kelly – Raise The Flag

The ATL trio has received a lot of attention for this “Versace” business. Produced by Zaytoven

Flatbush Zombies – Palm Trees

The Zombies are back on their grind, enlisting the go-to producer Erick Arc Elliott

The original made it into a previous mix, this time around Snakehips turns up the sexy with the remix.

Nate Belasco – Black Skinhead/Elephant (Kanye West vs Tame Impala)

Washington DC’s Nate Belasco had the creative mind to mash up the overly aggressive “Black Skinhead” from Kanye with Tame Impala’s cool “Elephant.” – Well done sir.
