Monday Blues & Beats Vol. 29

Hope everyone enjoyed their Canada weekends. If you’re just getting back in to the swing of things, start your week off with Vol. 29 of Blues & Beats.

The G.O.O.D. Music compilation album is shaping up to be a doozy.

Angus Stone leaves out his sister Julia for some solo work.

Rick Ross drops another single from the highly anticipated God Forgives, I Don’t.

Paul Banks of Interpol just released his second solo project entitled Julian Plenti Lives… via Matador Records.

Pusha T – New God Flow (feat. Kanye West)

Another single off the upcoming G.O.O.D. album Cruel Summer. Produced by Kanye West.

Rick Ross – Hold Me Back

Just after the release of Self Made, Vol. 2, the Bawse drops a single off his upcoming solo record God Forgives, I Don’t, dropping July 31.

Paul Banks – Summertime Is Coming

Incredibly excited to see something new from Paul Banks (Interpol frontman). This feels a little more Explosions In The Sky-esque.

DJ Khaled – I Wish You Would (feat. Kanye West & Rick Ross)

Khaled doing what he does best, enlists A-List talent. MMG & GOOD’s leaders on the same track with one of the hottest producers, Hit-Boy.

DJ Drama – My Moment (feat. 2 Chainz, Meek Mill & Jeremih)

Drama also following in Khaled’s footsteps. T-Minus delivered a slow-rolling banger with a beautiful set of synths.

Miguel – Adorn

This track fell on one Miguel’s three EPs. Finally the full version of this gorgeous slow jam surfaced.

D-WHY – Kill Me Now (feat. Casey Veggies)

One of my favourite white emcees right now hooked up with the new acquired Roc Nation (management only) rapper.

Angus Stone – Broken Brights

Angus is working on some solo material minus his sister, and it is excellent.

Chris Brown – Mirage (feat. Nas)

Sean dropped this freebie via Twitter. A laid back joint, reminiscent of the menu music off one of the Mario video games.

Ab-Soul – Donnie Brasco (feat Fashawn & One-2)

Off the Treacherous Records compilation album titled The Mint Room.

Birdman – B-Boyz (feat. Mack Maine, Kendrick Lamar, Ace Hood & DJ Khaled)

There’s hesitation when it comes to Birdman tracks these days, but seeing Lamar, Hood and Olympiks on the beat grabbed me.

CyHi Da Prynce – Slick

The G.O.O.D. rapper is finally back at work.

YG – #Grindmode (feat. 2 Chainz & Nipsey Hussle)

The Cali-rapper enlists two rappers who are just a few steps ahead of him in the industry. Hopefully he’s taking notes.
