Lana Del Rey: 5 Unreleased Tracks
It hasn’t been that long since we’ve heard from the most recent indie pop queen, but it feels like forever. Lana Del Rey’s debut record was Born into success. With the singles heating up charts, radios and blogs everywhere, it was bound to find itself at the top, good or bad. Born To Die was indeed a great pop record. In the last few days, her name has caught fire once again. She is re-releasing the album in “Paradise Edition” form. It will contain 7 unreleased tracks, 5 of which were posted on Soundcloud for download (100 max each unfortunately). I happen to be online at the right time and was able to download them. So if you missed out, here they are, give them a listen, download or just pass on by.
There is something to be said about demos, they hold that raw sound that you often miss out on when it has been produced and mastered.
Hit-Boy’s HITstory
From the creator of “Ni**as In Paris,” comes a true story about a mixtape. The unstoppable producer Chauncey Hollis who goes by the name Hit-Boy, has done the unthinkable. A incredibly talented producer gone successful rapper. You’ve all heard of a man name Kanye West right? Well he first gained acclaim from his productions off Jay-Z The Blueprint. Now West has platinum rap records and has ventured into the movie directing scene. Needless to say, do not stop at one dream. Hit-Boy has be turning out banger after banger for a long list of A-class artists. 3 weeks ago, Hit dropped a track called “Jay-Z Interview,” and for the first time, we got a taste of what he could do, minus the keys. After hopping on a track with fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist CyHi The Prynce and another with D-WHY, it was clear to see the Boy was comfortable behind the mic. Now we are here, August 7th, 2012 and it’s time to download HITstory, the free mixtape from Hit-Boy. It features Kid Cudi, Big Sean, John Legend, Bun B, Chip Tha Ripper & Stacy Barthe.
