Adam Nathaniel Yauch (August 5, 1964 – May 4, 2012)
One of the founding members of the Beastie Boys in 1979.
Founder of Oscilloscope Laboratories, a recording studio and a independent film production and distribution company.
The Beastie Boys have sold over 40 million records worldwide.
April 2012, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
2009, he was diagnosed and treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node.
Russell Simmons said, ”was incredibly sweet and the most sensitive artist, who I loved dearly.”
During a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on May 4th, just hours after Yauch’s passing, Coldplay performed an acoustic piano-based version of the iconic single “Fight For Your Right.” It might give you chills.
